SUMMER STORMS a Darklina Fest

Guidelines

  • All fanworks are allowed. This includes fic, meta essays, video edits, fan art, moodboards, photo edits, original music, craft, and anything else you can think of!

  • Prompts may be claimed by multiple participants. You may create as many works as you'd like for the fest, but you must fulfill your first prompt before claiming another.

  • All works must be complete at the time of submitting. There is no minimum or maximum length.

  • All content welcome. Please try and tag as accurately as you can, but Creator Chose Not To Warn is allowed.

  • Side pairings involving Alina and Aleksander are allowed, but Darklina must remain the main ship of the creation.

  • Creators must be 18 years of age or older to submit M or E rated works. Underage creators may submit G or T rated works only.

  • While claiming must be done on AO3, creators who are not writing are not required to use AO3 to submit; however, all works posted on BlueSky and/or Twitter need to be tagged with #darklinastorms and may not be posted before July 1st, 2025.

  • AO3 submissions will remain anonymous until creator reveals. Submissions on social media (art, edits, etc.) will not be anonymous, unless you want them to be.

  • For your submission to count, you will need to fill out the Google form linked above once your work is complete.

  • Claiming: January 28th, 2025 - June 15th, 2025

  • Submissions due: June 30th, 2025

  • Reveals begin: July 1st, 2025

  • Creator reveals: July 15th, 2025

FAQ

  • How do I reach out if I have questions?

  • You may reach out to the fest mod via e-mail, Twitter, or BlueSky. All links are on the homepage.

  • Why must I fill out a submission form?

  • This allows me to track each submission and to make fun stats when the fest is over!

  • Must my submission be summer-themed?

  • All prompts are summer-themed, but you are free to interpret them however you'd like.

  • Are there any limitations on content?

  • There are no limitations on the nature of your work. You may use any setting (modern, canon, historical, etc.) or genre, and taboo/dead dove works are more than welcome! However, underage creators must stick to creating things that would be rated G or T on AO3 (no explicit sexual content or violence, no taboo themes, no kinks, no explicit descriptions of drug and alcohol use, etc. please use your best judgment on this!)
